Karbonalpha extends its sovereign platform all the way to the end client: client portal and secure connection hub
Karbonalpha announces the production release of two components of its sovereign architecture: the client portal, available since June 2, 2026, and sso.finance, the federated authentication hub that guarantees its secure continuity. These two building blocks extend the platform beyond the adviser, all the way to the end client, with no data leaving the ecosystem.
A collaborative space between the IFA and their client
The client portal is a secure space made available to the clients of wealth management firms — both individuals and legal entities. It works as a mirror of the adviser platform: any information entered by the client flows in real time into their file, and vice versa. A shared, up-to-date view, with no back-and-forth.
Clients access their consolidated wealth dashboard, their personal situation (civil status, assets, liabilities, income and expenses) and the history of document exchanges with their adviser. They can also complete their regulatory questionnaires (ESG, QPR, QCF) directly from their space, in continuous synchronisation with the file held by the firm.
The design is privacy-by-design: two-factor authentication, optional and revocable PSD2 consent, and household sharing strictly conditional on the individual consent of each member. The client remains the owner of their data and can delete their account at any time. Bank account aggregation within the portal is announced for the near future.
A federated authentication hub: sso.finance
To guarantee the coherence and watertightness of the whole, Karbonalpha has deployed sso.finance, its sovereign identity provider. This hub centralises access to the entire ecosystem — adviser platform, client portal, partner applications — from a single verified identity.
It relies on several standard encrypted-connection protocols — including OIDC, SAML 2.0, MFA and passkeys — and enables direct federation with the existing information systems of banking and insurance partners, with no migration or duplicate accounts. Every connection, consent and change of authorisation is logged and exportable. Access rights are revocable in real time.
No data leaves the sovereign ecosystem. It is this foundation that guarantees the secure continuity between the proprietary aggregator Penelop, the client portal and third-party interfaces.
Sovereignty does not stop at hosting or code. It must cover the entire life cycle of wealth data, including the access layer. By deploying sso.finance and the client portal, we extend the Souverain par Architecture guarantee all the way to the end client — and we make it verifiable.
